08 May First patent of Laboratorios Bagó in China
Laboratorios Bagó obtained a new international patent and the first one in China. This new patent is added to the 85 patents already obtained in more than 15 countries, evidencing its constant commitment towards its own research and development.
This patent refers to novel fractionable pharmaceutical forms manufactured with orlistat, pure active substance (not pellets), which, together with the excipients, allow to manufacture scored tablets and powder to prepare suspensions. Both pharmaceutical forms have the advantage of being fractionable, allowing dosage regulation according to medical criterion.
Up to now, orlistat was exclusively supplied in capsules that contained the active substance in pellets, which prevented fractioning and dose adequacy to the needs of the patient. The new patent of Laboratorios Bagó solves this situation by offering an innovative fractionable therapeutic alternative that optimizes the quality of life, health and welfare of people.
