04 Aug Plasma donation together with Fundación Infant
In Laboratorios Bagó we support Fundación INFANT‘s research project to assess the efficacy of plasma from COVID-19 recovered patients administered to elder adults with recent symptoms. This foundation, headed by Fernando Polack, works to protect the population over 75 years old (or 65 with comorbidities), the most vulnerable group.
Currently, the study has many registered plasma donors. However, only 40% has the necessary quantity of antibodies useful for the treatment, thus, it is important to continue spreading the initiative in order to keep adding donors to complete the project, which has reached an advanced development stage.
