Our History
On April 11, 1934, this pioneer pharmaceutical company is founded by Sebastián Bagó. Its expansion and development started in 1945, being the first company to manufacture penicillin-based products in Argentina.
In the early 60’s, it extended its coverage area through the first exports to Latin America. Later on, in 1968, it launches “Trifacilina”, the first ampicillin of the Argentine market, which significantly updated the anti-infectious therapy available in our country.
Towards the end of the 60’s, with two pharmaceutical production facilities and a Research and Development center in Argentina, Laboratorios Bagó achieved the first position in the Argentine sales market, which is a remarkable fact worldwide due to its being an Argentine company.
Within the scientific sphere, Laboratorios Bagó discovered the original molecule of Talniflumate, a strong non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with excellent gastric tolerance, currently exported to South East Asia.
Today, Laboratorios Bagó is present in 20 countries of Latin America, Europe and Asia, and its products are sold in 50 countries.
